Ferdinand “Ferd” Irizarry BG, USA (Ret.)
Draft bio · Ferd to approve
Ferd Irizarry served 36 years in the United States Army, retiring as a Brigadier General. His career centered on civil-military operations, unit readiness, and training and doctrine: the work of defining what a force needs, getting it fielded, and making sure people are trained to use it.
He has led organizations from company through general-officer level, planned and executed operations alongside joint, interagency, and multinational partners, and shaped how the Army trains and equips Civil Affairs forces. Since retiring he has advised technology companies serving the defense market and served on the board of a publicly traded defense technology firm.
He founded Civil Domain Consultants to do one thing: help government buyers make technology decisions the way a good staff officer would, with the requirement first and the invoice last.
Ferd volunteers with veteran and Civil Affairs professional organizations. Those roles are separate from this business and imply no endorsement.

What we hold ourselves to
Requirement first
We tell you when you don't need to buy anything. That advice is free and it's the reason people come back.
Through to adoption
We stay for fielding, training, and use, not just delivery.
Plain dealing
Plain language, fixed scope, no surprises on the invoice. Ethics guidance obtained in writing before we opened.
